What is the Purpose of International Pallet Standardization?
Pallet standardization makes the process of exchanging pallets between countries easier. That way, goods can be moved from one country to another until they reach a retail store where the pallet used is the same. In addition, there are several benefits of standardizing pallet sizes, those are, saving time and costs for shipping and moving, standardizing the arrangement of shelves in the warehouse, and flowing goods through the supply chain properly and with minimum handling thereby reducing damage to goods.
So, with international standardization of pallets and their sizes, the use of pallets can be more productive and efficient. In addition, you don’t need to worry about the risk of pallets being detained due to non-compliance with international standards and ISPM15 compliant. The existence of this standardization actually helps you to make shipping costs more effective and efficient.
